When the Welder Died 36 Hours Before Deadline: A Kemppi Rescue Story

It was March 2024, and it was gonna be a long afternoon. At 11:40 on a Thursday, the MIG gun started making a noise I can only describe as a dying sewing machine. We had 36 hours before fourteen aluminum handrail sections were due at a hotel lobby. The shop got quiet in that awful way where everyone is waiting for you to make a decision.
